Imagining new ways to find each other and coordinate.

Hello friends,

We've made it so easy to make things by ourselves. It feels strangely difficult, still, to find partners in crime, to play calendar tetris with my friends, or even to find folks to jam with.

Though we’ve dramatically lowered the cost of making things, we’ve barely reduced the cost of forming groups capable of making them.

Over the last ten years I’ve witnessed far too much creative potential collapse because the right configuration of people and capital couldn’t be assembled in time. Ideas may persist, but individual and collective motivations have expiration dates.

We think this becomes an even more pressing problem in a world of abundant intelligence and autonomous agents.

Radiofuture is a coordination systems lab. We study how people, agents, organizations, and markets coordinate: how information moves, how groups form, how preferences are aggregated, how commitments are made, and how collective action succeeds or fails.

Our approach is a mix of building simulations, experiments, benchmarks, protocols, and products to explore new coordination mechanisms in the real world.

The name radiofuture comes from radio: a once new medium that let signals travel without a physical wire between people. That simple possibility gave rise to new forms of communication, which in turn shaped how we find one another and what we can achieve together.

We exist to invent the systems of communication, discovery, and coordination that let people do things together that otherwise might never happen.
